Kyle Morgan - Chief of Chips

Kyle was born into a Navy family and spent his early years traversing the country and globe. He first started cooking at 15 years old in his parents' sandwich deli, slinging sandwiches and pizzas in Pensacola, FL. Upon graduation with his B.S. in Sports Medicine from the University of West Florida, he enlisted in the Air Force and went through SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape) Specialist training and forecasted weather for the European theater.

It was during his time stationed in Europe he realized his true passion for cooking. After his enlistment, he decided to enroll at the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone. Throughout his time in the San Francisco Bay Area he cooked with some of the world's most acclaimed chefs and in some of the best restaurants throughout the city. Road weary, he decided to make Denver his home after graduation. He began to work the fires at Acorn at The Source, located in the River North Arts District. It was then he created Morgan Handmade Rations. The business first started as a small farmer's market stand selling homemade gnocchi, and after a year of small catering and pop-up dinners, he decided to focus solely on potato chips. And here we are...

Brett Hunniecutt - Co-Founder

Brett grew up baking and cooking with his family. He has since graduated from pies to pavlovas and has worked to find opportunities to marry his love of food with his entrepreneurial spirit. When he met Kyle while serving in the Air Force he knew it’d be only a matter of time before they started a food business. While he waited for that moment, he pursued an MBA and developed his business skills. Now he’s ecstatic to be working with Kyle to bring absurdly delicious chips to Colorado and beyond.
